Ron is King!

Chilton, Wisconsin - Ron Berna visited Mueller’s Sales & Service Victory Lane for the first time in his DiscountShopTowels.com Dirt Kings Late Model Tour career and was crowned King of the Battle to be King at Gravity Park Speedway, in his 42nd career start. Berna finished second in his heat race and re-drew the pole position for the 30-lap Battle to be King presented by DiscountShopTowels.com and earned the Out-Pace Racing Products Pole Award. As they took the green flag, Justin Ritchie challenged Berna on the outside as the two worked through turns one and two with Berna prevailing as they entered turn three. Berna and Ritchie continued to pace the field as Kyle Raddant raced to the outside of Nick Anvelink and Brad Mueller raced to the outside of Brett Swedberg. At the halfway point, Berna held a sizable lead over Ritchie, followed by Swedberg, Anvelink and Joel Bennett. With five to go, Berna had reached the tail end of the field and this allowed Ritchie and Swedberg to close the gap between them. Berna was able to maintain his lead, holding off Ritchie by .410 seconds to claim his first DiscountShopTowels.com Dirt Kings Late Model Tour victory. Swedberg was third, followed by Anvelink, Bennett, Raddant, and Mueller.
