The Dirt Kings Late Model Tour rolled into TNT Speedway in Three Lakes, Wisconsin, for #round9 on Sunday, September 3. It was a beautiful day for racing, but what was less evident was the amount of rain that had soaked into the new clay on TNT Speedway from storms in the area the day before. Ultimately the officials and drivers of the Dirt Kings Tour agreed that the track would not hold up to 30 laps of competition. Instead an agreement was made to put on a show for the historically large crowd that had come to the track. Dirt Kings Tour and the drivers agreed to run a 15-lap feature and all drivers in attendance received equal points and pay for the event. The 15-lap race was filled with passing and action all around the track, as Tim Buhler led most of the event but some lapped traffic allowed Nick Anvelink to pass Buhler for the lead and went on to win the race.

Dirt Kings Tour would like to extend our sincere thanks to the fans for understanding that track conditions dictated a change from our scheduled program.

We would also like to thank the drivers and teams who traveled Up North to put on a great show for the fans! Finally, we are thankful that Mitch McGrath is recovering from the accident that occurred in the heat race.

The Dirt Kings Tour returns to action Saturday night, September 16 at Wilmot Raceway for #round10.
