Mike is King!

Luxemburg, WI  - Mike Mullen held off Nick Anvelink at the line to be crowned King of the Village in BMRE Electrick Carts Victory Lane at The Burg Speedway. Mullen made it two WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour victories in a row and his third victory of the season, with his victory in the King of the Village. Mullen was the Ken’s Sports Pole Sitter for the King of the Village, re-drawing the pole after his heat race win, but it wasn't without challenge in the 30-lap race. Anvelink started second and started to challenge for the lead right from the start but had to battle with Bill Edler for second spot allowing Mullen to pull away from the field.

Jayden Schmidt raced to the inside of Edler for third spot a couple laps later, as Mullen and Anvelink had pulled away from the field. Meanwhile, Justin Green had raced his way to fifth and passed Edler for fourth at the halfway point.

Mullen and Anvelink started to work their way through the tailend of the field with ten laps to go, closing the gap between first and second. Behind the leaders, Green passed Schmidt for third, after starting 17th and working his way through the field. In the final laps, Mullen and Anvelink tried to work their way around Justin Ritchie. Mullen made his way around Ritchie but Anvelink also made his way around Ritchie on the white flag and Anvelink gained ground on Mullen, but Mullen held off Anvelink at the line. Green finished third followed by Brett Swedberg and Justin Schmidt. Troy Springborn finished sixth followed by Edler, Taylor Scheffler, Jared Siefert and Ritchie.
