Rumble by the River 40

Jake Timm is crowned King of the Rumble by the River 40 in BMRE Electrick Carts Victory Lane at Mississippi Thunder Speedway.

Fountain City, WI - Jake Timm claimed his fourth WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour victory and was crowned King of the Rumble by the River 40 in BMRE Electrick Carts Victory Lane at Mississippi Thunder Speedway.  Timm started third in the 40-lap A-Main, after the re-draw of the top eight spots.  Timm also setting fast time and won his heat, but his A-Main victory was not without challenge.  Jordan Yaggy was the Ken's Sports Inc. Pole Sitter and led the field to the green and was challenged for the lead by Timm, but Yaggy maintain the lead with Timm, Brett Swedberg, Nick Anvelink and Jesse Glenz in pursuit.  Yaggy pulled away from Timm and continued to lead the field.  On lap eight, Yaggy had reached the tail end of the field allowing Timm to close the gap between them.  As the leaders worked through the tail end of the field, Timm moved the inside while Yaggy worked through traffic on the top of the backstretch, with Timm taking the lead on lap twelve. 

Caution slowed the field a few laps later on lap 17.  On the restart, Timm pulled away from Yaggy, Swedberg, Anvelink and Glenz.  Timm continued to pace the field as Anvelink raced with Yaggy for second.  Caution slowed the field on lap 23 and on the restart, Anvelink challenged Timm on the inside for two laps, with Timm maintaining the lead.   Timm pulled away to a half straightaway lead on Avenlink while Yaggy, Gunner Frank and Jake Redetzke rounding out the top five.   

Caution came out one final time with seven laps to go.  Anvelink challenged Timm for the lead, with Timm prevailing as Anvelink had to hold off Tyler Breuning in the closing laps.  Timm finished 1.574 seconds ahead of Anvelink, followed by Bruening, Yaggy and Redetzke.
