Brad is King!

Seymour, WI - Brad Mueller was crowned King of the WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour The Lumberyard Bar & Grill Mid-Summer Showdown at Outagamie Speedway in BMRE Electrick Carts Victory Lane.

Mueller was the Ken’s Sports Inc. Pole Sitter, after the re-draw and led the field to the green flag alongside Mike Mullen. Mueller took the lead as Nick Anvelink raced with Mullen for second. Mueller was predominately running on the inside of the track while Mullen preferred the top. Mueller prevailed though Mullen challenged for the lead several times, but could not make a run on the top. Mueller had a .838 second over Mullen when caution slowed the field on lap eight.

On the restart, Mueller remained on the inside with Mullen trying the top side as Anvelink continued to battle for second. Mitch McGrath and Justin Ritchie rounded out the top five as Brett Swedberg and Joel Bennett all battled for position.

Just past halfway, Mueller approached the tail end of the field, with a .904 second advantage over Mullen in second. Avenlink continued to challenge Mullen for second, allowing Mueller to keep his lead as he navigated through the tail end of the field.

As Mueller continued to pace the field, Avenlink secured second from Mullen with just seven laps to go. Mueller continued to work through the tail of the field in the closing laps of the race, allowing Anvelink to narrow the gap, but Mueller prevailed, finishing the race .470 seconds ahead of Anvelink. Swedberg finished third, followed by Mullen and Ritchie.

For Mueller, it had been four years to the day since his last visit to BMRE Electrick Carts Victory Lane and he celebrated his third WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour victory over the past nine seasons.
