Rich Bell is King!

Sycamore, IL - Rich Bell was crowned King of the Summer Sizzler in BMRE Electrick Carts Victory Lane at Sycamore Speedway. Bell started sixth in the 30-lap Summer Sizzler, with Mitch McGrath and Dale Markham leading the field to the green flag. Markham stayed on the top side and led lap one. McGrath took the lead on lap four on the inside of the track and he raced side-by-side with Markham for the lead. McGrath continued to lead and then he slowed on the backstretch on lap seven. Markham resumed the lead with Troy Springborn, Rich Bell and Brad Mueller in pursuit. Bell took the lead on lap eleven and started to approach the tail end of the field. Bell worked the top side of the track and had a 1.174 second advantage over Markham. Caution slowed the field at the halfway point. On the restart, Bell maintained his advantage over Markham as they both raced around the top side of the track. Behind them, Springborn worked the bottom of the track while Mueller and Letizia raced on the top.

Caution slowed the field for a final time with just eight laps to go, but Bell continued to pace the field and pulled away from Markham. Bell finished 1.149 seconds ahead of Markham, followed by Springborn, Jordan Yaggy and Mueller.
