Antigo WI - Brett Swedberg was crowned King of the WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour King of Fair in BMRE Electric Carts Victory Lane at Langlade County Speedway to kickoff the Double Header Weekend. Lukas Postl and Swedberg led the field to the green flag, with Postl taking the lead as Troy Springborn challenged Swedberg for second. Postl continued to lead as Swedberg secured second and Taylor Scheffler battled with Springborn for third. Swedberg took the lead on lap five as he raced to the inside of Postl as Scheffler followed through to second with Postl shuffled back to third.
Caution slowed the race on lap six as Tim Rothe spun in turn four, Bill Edler and Ron Berna also collected. On the restart, Swedberg took the advantage as Scheffler raced to the inside of Springborn. The second place car of Springborn slowed on the backstretch bringing out another caution.
Swedberg led the field back to the green flag with Scheffler and Postl in pursuit as Lance Hofer and Nick Anvelink were running in fourth and fifth. Swedberg and Scheffler continued to pace the field with Anvelink passing Hofer for fourth on lap eleven and then Anvelink passed Postl for third just past the halfway point.
Swedberg reached the tail end of the field on lap 18 allowing Scheffler and Anvelink to close the gap to Swedberg. The final caution of the night came out on lap 22, with just three laps remaining, as Chris Engels came to rest in turn one. The restart was called off as the field came on to turn four, but on the final restart Swedberg kept the lead, going on to lead the final laps to win his second WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour race of his career. Scheffler was second, followed by Anvelink, Postl and Hofer. Todd Frank, Chris Oertel, Joel Bennett, Turk Letizia and Andy Karl rounded out the top ten.
