Taylor Scheffler is King!
Plymouth, WI - A beautiful night for WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour racing at Plymouth Dirt Track Racing turned out to be a beautiful night for Taylor Scheffler, too. To start the night, Scheffler was the Champ Pans Fast Qualifier with a 13.284 second lap, earning him a front row starting spot for his heat race, which he won and then he re-drew the Ken’s Sports Inc. Pole Position for the Complete Heat Treating 30. Scheffler was dominated the 30-lap race, leading every lap and cruised to a 3.977 second victory over Nick Anvelink.
Scheffler was crowned King of the Complete Heat Treating 30 in BMRE Electrick Carts Co. Victory Lane for his first WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour win of the 2026 season. Scheffler was followed by Anvelink, Brett Swedberg, Turk Letizia and Gunner Frank.
While Scheffler led every lap, a very fast race track produced some great racing including a challenge for the lead by Anvelink and a three wide battle for fifth between Swedberg, Justin Schmidt and Justin Ritchie.
Schmidt went on to finish sixth, followed by Chris Oertel, Lukas Postl, Ritchie and Joe Bongiorno.
Special thanks to TJ Dolhun and Complete Heat Treating for sponsoring a great night of racing at Plymouth Dirt Track.
The WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour returns to action for a Double Header Weekend on Friday, September 11th at Outagamie Speedway in Seymour and Saturday night, September 12th at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot.
With four races remaining in the 2026 season, Justin Ritchie remains atop the Championship standings with a 6 point lead over Nick Anvelink. Brett Swedberg is just 14 points behind with Chris Oertel and Turk Letizia rounding out the top five in the 2026 WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour Championship standings.
