Brett is King!

Seymour, WI - Brett Swedberg was crowned King of the WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour Fall Brawl in BMRE Electrick Carts Victory Lane at Outagamie Speedway. Swedberg started the 30-lap Fall Brawl from the fourth spot, after winning his heat race taking part in the re-draw. Brad Mueller and Joel Bennett led the field to the green flag, with Mueller pulling away to a full straightaway lead. Justin Schmidt and Bennett battled for second with Swedberg, Troy Springborn and Mike Mullen breaking away from the rest of the field. Swedberg passed Bennett for second on lap thirteen and sets his sights on Mueller.

Mueller continued to lead the way at the halfway point and had already started lapping the tail end of the field. As Mueller worked through traffic, Swedberg was able to close in, looking to the inside of Mueller on lap eighteen. Mueller held on to the lead, while they raced bumper to bumper on lap nineteen. Swedberg looked to the inside of Mueller again in turn three, but Mueller held on to the top spot. Swedberg raced to the inside of Mueller through turns one and two and down the backstretch and into turns three and four took the lead on lap twenty. Mueller looked to the inside of Swedberg on the next lap but Swedberg held him off.

Caution slowed the field on lap 22, setting up an eight lap shootout. Swedberg lead the field back to the green flag, with Mueller and Springborn on his bumper. Swedberg was able to get away from the field and went on to win his first WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour race, in his 61st attempt.
