Freedom, WI - October 6, 2020 - The 2020 battle for the Discount Shop Towels Dirt Kings Late Model Tour Championship was a fierce competition, with seven different drivers in the running late in the season, but it was Justin Ritchie who was crowned the 2020 DiscountShopTowels.com Dirt Kings Late Model Tour Champion on Saturday night, October 3 at Wilmot Raceway. Ritchie came into the night with a 14 point lead over Ron Berna. Ritchie finished third in the race, gaining six additional points on Berna, who finished sixth. Just 20 points separate Ritchie and Berna in the final point standings, the closest margin of victory in Dirt Kings Tour history.

Troy Springborn finished third in the final point standings, just 4 points behind Berna. Justin Schmidt finished fourth, 39 points behind Ritchie, with Taylor Scheffler and Brett Swedberg tied for fifth, 42 points behind Ritchie. Justin Reed finished seventh, 52 points behind Ritchie. Kyle Raddant, Turk Letizia and Joel Bennett round out the top ten in the final point standings.

2020 Sunoco Race Fuels Rookie of the Year Gunner finished eleventh, followed by Aaron Wickersheim, Mark Rose, Derek Janke, Ron Stroika, and Lukas Postl.

Nick Anvelink won three back-to-back Discount Shop Towels Dirt Kings Late Model Tour Championships prior to this season. Anvelink finished 24 points ahead of Swedberg in 2019, which was the closest margin of victory prior to this season. Anvelink finished 41 points ahead of Berna in 2017 and 61 points ahead of Swedberg in 2018.

75 different drivers competed to be King this season, with five new drivers visiting the Mueller's Sales & Service Victory Lane for the first time. After four seasons, Anvelink leads the way with 13 victories, followed by Mitch McGrath with 7, Taylor Scheffler and Jake Timm both have 2 victories, and one victory each for Cole Spacek, Justin Hirt, Jimmy Mars, Brad Mueller, AJ Diemel, Jared Siefert, Jake Redetzke, Dennis Erb Jr., Justin Ritchie, Cade Dillard, John Kaanta, Dustin Sorensen, Jesse Glenz, Kyle Raddant, and Mike Mullen.
